BRODHEAD — Ernest Kaderly, local area farmer, was found dead in his farmyard by neighbors about 12:30 a.m. Monday. He apparently died of a heart attack. A shovel he was using to remove snow was near his body. The Green County coroner attributed the death to natural causes. No inquest will be held.

Kaderly was born Jan. 7, 1896 in Sylvester Township, Green County, the son of Rudolph and Afra Hefty Kaderly. On March 15, 1923, he married Emma Bandi at Monroe. She died in 1956.

Surviving are one son, Clarence, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Hauri of Monroe Township and Mrs. Robert Walters of Brodhead: four sisters, Mrs. Fred Bitz of Winslow, Mrs. Walter Douglas of Brodhead, Mrs. Sylvan Kneubuehl of Monroe and Mrs. Frank Malkuch of Glendive, Montana; seven brothers. Fred and Roy, both of Brodhead, Andrew of Juda, Edwin of Monroe, Calvin of Monticello, Emil of Dakota and Henry of Rockford; and four grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday evening.
