Charles T. Anderstrom, 40, of 43 Castle St., died Sunday at Mercy Hospital. Born in this city, August 28, 1924, he was the son of Arvid G. and Rose C. (Sears) Anderstrom, both natives of Holyoke. His father is a retired lieutenant for the Springfield Fire Department and was instrumental in the formation of fire fighters Local 648. Mr. Anderstrom was a graduate of High School of Commerce and served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific and in the Korean War. Employed as an associate engineer for the New England Telephone Co., he was a member of Local 4, International Brotherhood of Telephone Workers, and also very active in the American Red Cross blood bank program. Beside his parents, he leaves his wife, Mrs. Helen M. (Morgan) Anderstrom; two sons, David and Steven, both at home; two daughters, Rev. Sr. Charles Helen of the Sisters of Saint Joseph Mont Marie, Holyoke, and Nancy, at home; a brother, Edward A. of Easton, Conn.
