Born Feb. 17, 1892, in South Dakota, she died Jan. 19, 1986, in Rancho Palos Verdes.
She was past president of the California Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was president of the Gray Lady's Division of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Red Cross during World War II. She also published short stories.
She is survived by her husband, Edgar; two sons, Edgar Jr. of the Palos Verdes Peninsula and Thomas of Virginia; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes.
