Mary Lou Esterby, 71, Minot, ND, died Monday, February 22, 2010, at her residence with her family by her side.

Mary Lou was born July 20, 1938, to Reuben and Evva (Barden) Olson in Minot. Throughout her youth, she attended Minot schools. Mary Lou was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Esterby on November 1, 1955, in Minot. They made their home in Minot, where she raised their five children and was involved with their school activities and sporting events throughout the years.

Mary Lou spent her life caring for others. She had a children's daycare in her home and later worked for the Good Shepherd Daycare. She later became a home health caregiver, where she spent many years caring for "her ladies." She loved doing things for others. She was always there with a smile and a helping hand. Mary Lou loved to visit on the phone with "sister" and many close friends. She will be missed by all of those whose lives she touched.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Nick Olson, Bob Olson and Jim Olson.
