Sacramento, CA: Lucy Babcock was a devoted member of the Rochester cultural community and served on the Women's Councils of the Memorial Art Gallery, the Museum & Science Center, and St. Paul's Episcopal Church, as well as being a member of the Chatterbox Club and Rochester Garden Club. She was a talented interior decorator, flower arranger and artist, whose work was seen at many local events. Lucy loved to travel and was an avid bridge player and golfer. She belonged to Penfield Country Club, and was still walking the course in her 80's.

Lucy grew up in New York City, where she began modeling for the Elaine Powers Agency in the late '30s. She and her husband, Bruce Babcock, moved here in 1953. They raised three sons in Ellison Park Heights, where they lived for over 40 yrs before Lucy was widowed and moved to Allens Creek Valley. In 2006, she moved to Sacramento to be with her two surviving sons, Clayton and Tyler, their wives Kathy and Jami, and her grandson, Finneas. Lucy died peacefully at home on Jan 6, 2011, and will be reunited with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery.
