Thomas W. "Tom" Orrell, 84, of Chattanooga, TN went home to be with the Lord and "His" Juanita on Sunday, March 20, 2011.

Mr. Orrell was born and raised in St. Elmo.

He was a member of Community Baptist Church in East Ridge, graduate of City High School Class of 1943, a US WWII Marine veteran, and retired from DuPont as a pipefitter.

Surviving are his brother, Frank "Bud" Orrell; niece, Barbara M. (Avison) West; and great-niece, Jennifer Redmond and her father, Henry Redmond.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita W. Orrell; his parents, William and Alma Orrell; sisters, Clara Markowicz, Sue Orrell, and Emma Lee Venable; and brother, Pat Orrell.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Maxwell officiating.

Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the DuPont Pipefitter Retirees.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road, East Ridge, TN.
