Elmer H. (Bud) Nicholas Jr., 37, of Route 1, Newton, died at 9:43 a.m. today (Monday) June 15, 1981, in his home after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton with burial in Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Nicholas was born April 3, 1944, at Olney, a son of Elmer and Eva Garrett Nicholas. He was an employee of Newton Post Office, a member of Southern Baptist Church where he was trustee and treasurer, a member of Jasper County Pork Producers Association and American Postal Union. He married Kay Fuson on Dec. 10, 1965, in Newton.
Surviving are his wife; daughter, Kimberly at home; parents of Olney; brothers, Robert and William both of Olney, Jeff of Dundas; and sisters, Mrs. Mary Stanley of Louisville, Mrs. Ruth Ann Zwilling, Mrs. Diana Kay Bare, Kathy Banks all of Olney and Judy Tichy of Orem, Utah.
