A funeral was held for A.B. "Jim" Crump, who died Feb. 7, 1999, at age 80.
Mr. Crump was born April 2, 1918, in Mobeetie, Texas. After graduating from high school, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He lived in the Scappoose area for many years and moved to Vancouver, Wash., in 1970. He was a longtime insurance and investment salesman and had been a car salesman. In 1946, he married Berniece Larson.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Rick of La Center, Wash., Kenny of Vancouver and Terry of Las Vegas; sister, Ruth Keith of Amarillo, Texas; and one grandchild.
Private interment will be in Bethany Cemetery in Warren. The family suggests remembrances to a favorite charity. Arrangements were by Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel in Vancouver.
