Mrs. L. H. Jones Final Services Held on Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Loura Holliday Jones, 91, a former resident of McDuffie County, were held Feb. 9 at Martin Funeral Home in Elberton with the Rev. Roland Walker officiating. Burial was in West View Cemetery, Thomson.
Mrs. Jones died February 8 in Elberton after a brief illness.
A native of Mesena, she and her husband, the late S. W. Jones, lived in McDuffie County for many years and reared their family here.
A member of the Elberton First Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Alva Holliday.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Guillebeau of Thomson, and MRs. Frances Kroening of Elberton; two sons, G. W. Jones and R. W. Jones, both of Thomson.
Pallbearers were Matthew Kantala, Jr., Sidney Partain, Collier Lunsford, J. S. Smith, Harold Jones, Sr., and Clinton Childs.

Final Rites Held for Mrs. Jones
Mrs. Loura Holliday Jones, 91 years old, of 114 Lake Forest drive, died Thursday morning at 3:45 in the Elbert County Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was a native of Mesena, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Alva Holliday. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Her husband, the late S. W. Jones, died several years ago.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Martin Funeral Home. The Rev. Roland Walker officiated. Burial was in Westview Cemetery in Thomson.
Pallbearers were Donald Buchanan, Sidney Partain, Collier Lunsford, James S. Smith, Harold Jones Jr. and Clinton Childs.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frances Kroening of Elberton and Mrs. J. W. Guillebeau of Thomson; two sons, G. W. Jones and R. W. Jones, also of Thomson.
