Mr. Barrett was born July 5, 1897, in Marshall county, and came to Elkhart with his parents when he was a child. He had been employed for the past 10 years as a bookkeeper for the Bendix Corp., and prior to that time was an auditor for the Finnell System here. He previously had worked for the Sidway company and C. G. Conn, Ltd. here.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters a son, three brothers, Raymond and Harley Barrett of Elkhart, and Claud Barrett of Brownstown, Ind. and three sisters, Mrs. A. A. Horn of Elkhart, Mrs. Fred Steckman of Plymouth and Mrs. Clarence Sanner of Springfield, O.
