IDA CAMPBELL
---Ida Esther Campbell, seventy-four, of southeast of La Plata, died at the home of her son, Alven Campbell of Macon, Monday.
---The daughter of William Henry and Sara Elizabeth (Harris) Ocker, she was born August 20, 1887 in Macon County. She attended the Stowe rural school in Macon County.
---On February 27, 1907 she was married to Reverda Campbell in Macon and to this marriage five children were born.
---Surviving are her husband, four children, Alven Campbell of Macon, Ernest Campbell of Talmadge, Nebraska, Lois Gern Pool of Kirksville and Ellen Slaughter of La Plata; eleven grandchildren; three sisters, Lottie Shores of Novelty, Edna Arnett of West Grove, Iowa and Grace Bowen of Novelty; and three brothers, Albert Ocker of La Plata, Claude Ocker of Macon and James Ocker of Cook, Nebraska.
---She was preceded in death by one son, John William Campbell who was killed in action with the United States Armed Forced in Okinawa in 1945; three brothers and one sister.
---Mrs. Campbell had lived in the La Plata vicinity her entire life. She was a member of the Hazel Dell Christian Church.
---Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 in the La Plata Christian church with Rev. Frank Stout officiating. Burial was in the La Plata Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge.
