Sebastian Gilsaw White, 86, Ozark, died Friday, March 28, 1997, in Cox Medical Center, South. Sebastian was born October 17, 1911, in Ponce De Leon, Missouri, the son of Johnny E. and Lois White. He was married to Flossie Stepp on September 13, 1941, in Marshfield, Missouri. He was a farmer most of his life, but had many jobs, including the old Frisco Railroad shops, and for years at various glass shops in Springfield. He was an outdoorsman, loving both fishing and hunting. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lebertia White; and a brother, Lycurgus White. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Flossie, a resident of Ozark Riverview Manor Nursing Home; a son, Stan and his wife, Jody White, Clever; two brothers, Silas White, Hinderson, Nevada, and Confrey "Dude" White, Jamesville, Missouri; a granddaughter, Summer Misemer; and a great-grandson, Garrett Misemer, both of Bois D'Arc. Funeral services were held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in Harris, a Heritage Funeral Home, Ozark, with the Rev. Jerry Applegate officiating. Burial followed in the Jamesville Cemetery, Jamesville, Missouri.
