Her name can also be seen as Linda and Lindamyra. The Liddle Genealogy uses the form Von Crapsey. However, no record, I have found uses the form of Von. Melinda was the third generation of Crapseys. Her grandfather was Hans Uldrich Krebser, born in Zurich, Canton Basile, Switzerland, which by the time of his death in 1881 Rensselaer Co., NY had morphed into John Oldrick Crapsey. Some of Melinda's siblings changed Crapsey to Cropsey.
