Larry Ron Griffin, resident of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and former resident of Ponca City, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Fla. He was 41.
The service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, at the Trout Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with the Reverend Carl Nance, pastor, Victory Life Fellowship Church, Dodge City, Kan., officiating. Burial will follow at the Resthaven Memorial Park in Ponca City. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.
Larry was born on April 24, 1969, to Larry and the late Linda Burns Griffin in Wuerzburg, Bavania, Germany. He graduated Ponca City High School in 1987 and attended Business College. He enjoyed coming home to Ponca City for the 4th of July celebrations with family and friends.
He is survived by his father, Larry Griffin; brother-in-law, Ronnie Hill and wife, Jennifer, and their children, Haylie and Hudson Hill of Bixby, Okla.; grandmother, Esther Griffin, of Ponca City; grandmother, Betty Smith, of Ponca City.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Linda Griffin; sister, Laci Griffin Hill (# 8958035); and grandfather, Herbert Griffin.
Casketbearers will be Ronnie Hunt, Kenny Andrews, Rowdy Andrews, James Stolhand, Drew Shelton, and Rod Alexander.
