Sudden Death Frank C. Granger Killed in the Woods
A Falling Tree in the Woods Lodges. A Limb Strikes Him Kills Him Instantly.
Frank Granger was instantly killed Tuesday afternoon about 4 o'clock on the Elisha Norton farm about 2 miles north of the village of Bliss, by being struck be the limb of a falling tree. Mr. Granger and his sons-in-law, Sidney Barber and Bert Pringle were felling trees in the woods. One tree lodges as it felt and in endeavoring to release the branches that held it, one of them sprung loose and struck Mr. Granger, breaking his neck and one leg. Coroner Sharp of Arcade was called and gave his decision and the cause of the death in accordance with the facts. Deceased was 53 years old and left a wife and two daughters. the funeral will be held at the Free Baptist church this morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. Charles Clark, a former pastor officiating. Interment at Smith's Corners.

Frank Granger, who lives in the west part of the town of Eagle, lost his life on the Elisha Norton farm in Wethersfield, Tuesday afternoon, February 20th, at 4 o'clock. A man named Barker from Nunda has a portable sawmill there, and Granger and his sons-in-law, Sidney Barber and Berty Pringle, were at work felling trees. One tree lodged as it fell and in endeavoring to release it, Granger was struck by a limb and instantly killed-his neck and one leg being broken. Coroner Sharp of Arcade was called. He was 52 years and 8 months old and is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Barber and Mrs. Pringle. funeral was held from the F.B. church, Bliss, Rev. Charles Clark of Elton officiating. Burial at Smith Corners.
