From a copy of a newspaper clipping, probably The Adair County Free Press: "Death of A.C. Jameson – After an illness covering at least six years, Alonzo C. Jamison passed away at the family home on Franklin Street, Wednesday, August 29th 1917. He was aged sixty-eight years, three months and twenty-seven days. For two years or more he has been almost helpless, having suffered several light strokes of paralysis. He was bedfast only about a week before his death. He was the son f Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jameson and was born in Allen County, Ohio on May 1st 1849. On December 17, 1890 he was married to Miss Gertrude Woodson. To this union was born eight children, two of whom died in infancy. Others are Mrs. Bert Newberry and those still at home are Alma, Myrle, Eva and Maggie and one son Clyde. He also leaves his wife who has been a faithful nurse during his long illness, four brothers and three sisters, namely Mrs. Addie Hunt, Milo, Iowa; Mrs. Alice Martin, Des Moines, Miss Olive Jameson, Madison, S. D.; J. W. Jameson, Ft. Dodge; S.L. Jameson, Madison, S.D.; Robert Jameson, Brownsville, Pa., and J. L. Jameson, Woodward, Oklahoma. Three brothers and two sisters were present at the funeral which was held at the Presbyterian Church on Friday afternoon. The family have the sympathy of this community in this hour of bereavement, as well as in Grove township which was the family home before they gave up farm life."
