Grace Zimmerman Yonkin was born on her parents' farm 4 miles south of Elkhart on what is now County Road 7. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother, two sisters and brother about 1913. Grace married Guy Yonkin, a cigar salesman, and she worked at Bullocks Department Store as a salesperson and buyer. Guy and Grace had no children. She died at the Hotel Figueroa in Los Angeles.
