OBIT CHRONICLE HERALD Monday 8 January 1968

Awalt, Mrs. Mary Alice, 63, widow of Oleg Awalt of Timberlea, died Saturday in Cole Harbour. Born in Kennetcook, she was the daughter of William and Alice Ettinger. She is survived by three daughters, Olga (Mrs. Robert Woods), Jean (Mrs. Roger LaFrank), both of New Germany; Banetta (Mrs. Stephen Steffano), Ottawa; four sons, Warren, Ronald and Gary, all of Halifax; and Burchill, Sudbury, Ontario; three brothers, Fred, Vancouver; Warren, California; and Frank, Maine; 17 grandchildren. The body is at Lindsay's Funeral Home, Bayers Road, where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. L. A. Digman officiating. Interment will be in the family lot at Boutilier's Point Cemetery.
