Louis C. Thompson
Of 1524 23rd Ave. died at 9:30
PM Wednesday, Nov 22, 1978,
in Altoona Hospital, after
suffering a heart attack in his
home. Mr. Thompson retired as
an electrician in the Juniata
Shops of Conrail in 1973, after
33 years service. He was born
Nov 11, 1912, in Altoona, the
son of David E. and Jennie
(Price) Thompson, and Aug 31,
1933, in Wellsburg, WV, married
Helen E. Sperry. Surviving
are his wife, four children,
David S. of Belleville, Mich.,
Mrs. Elizabeth Hammaker of
Shippensburg, Charles R. and
Mrs. Marilyn A. Ivory of Altoona;
12 grandchildren, a great-
grandson, him mother of
Altoona and a sister, Mrs.
Marie Stewart of Altoona. He
was a member of the office
board of Conrail Credit Union.
Friends will be received from 6
to 9 PM today in the E. Merrill
Smith Funeral Home.
