L. Charlotte Green, 80, of Ava, died April 5, 1993 at the Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Ava. She was born August 10, 1912 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Burton McGuire and Minnie Frieda Hillgemeyer Campbell. She married Daniel C. Green, Sr. July 11, 1931 at East St. Louis. He preceded her in death April 20, 1971. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother. She is survived by one son, Daniel C. Green, Jr of Ava; four daughters, Sarah Gerler and Etta Kilpatrick of Ava, Peggy Hediger of St. Charles, Missouri and Sharon McDonald of Henderson, Kentucky; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grand-children and one sister, Ruth Coddington of O'Fallon, Illinois. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 1993 at the Assembly of God Church in Ava with Rev. Jeffery Gowen officiating. Burial was in the Glenn Cemetery in Jacob. Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava was in charge of arrangements.
