Bill as he was known by, was a Charter Member of Wanamassa Fire Company No.1, February 6,1922. He became Fire Chief in 1928 and was a Charter Member of the Wanamassa First Aid Squad in 1928, he became Squad Captain in 1934.

Bill was a member of the Renowned, World Champion, Wanamassa Fire Company Hose Laying Team

Tuesday March 28,1967 WILLIAM H ROBBINS, WEST DEAL - William H. Robbins, 67, of 1003 BrooksideAve., died Tuesday in Green Grove Convalescent Home, Neptune. Mr. Robbins was born in West New York, son of the late Ike William and Addie Robbins. He was a carpenter, still active at the time of his death, and belonged to the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 2250,. Red Bank. He was an ex-Chief of the Wanamassa Fire Co., Ex Captain of the Wanamassa First Aid Squad, and a member of the Exempt Firemen's Association. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Kelm Robbins; two daughters, Miss Doris Robbins at home and Mrs. Myrtle Cusick of PortMonmouth; three sons, William H. Robbins of Little Silver, RobertH. Robbins of Miami, and Richard H. Robbins of BrickTownship; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Brighton of Ocean Township, and 11 grandchildren.

Services Will be Saturday at 11 am. in the Francioni, Taylor and Lopez Funeral Home, Neptune. Burial will be in Glendola Cemetery, Wall Township, New Jersey.
