(Ruth Ingram, Eleven, Dies In Compton, Calif., Mishap)
Ruth Ingram, age eleven, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Ingram, formerly of Anderson, was fatally injured in a bicycle-truck collision at her home in Compton, Calif., Tuesday, according to word received here today.
Mr. and Mrs. Ingram resided at 3639 south Jackson street until three years ago when they moved to California.
According to information received today, the Ingram child was riding to school at Compton on her bicycle when the cycle was involved in a collision with a truck. She suffered a broken leg and fractured skull and expired three hours after the collision.
Funeral services and burial of the former Anderson girl will be held at Compton Friday.
FATHER AT REMY
Mr. Ingram, father of the girl, was a mechanical repair expert and was employed at Delco-Remy Division, while here.
The Ingram family resided here for a number of years, before moving to California.
The child killed in the accident was a student at Twenty-ninth Street School when the family lived here.
Besides her parents, the accident victim is survived by two sisters, Martha and Mary, and two brothers, Howard and Raymond. The family was well known in the south part of Anderson.
