Mr Krout was a member of Christ United Methodist church, Jacobus. He was employed as a driver for the Interstate Motor Lines of Strinestown, and at one time worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the Loganville Fire Co. and Local 430 of the Teamsters Union.
Surviving are three children,Gary L. and Cynthia Jane Krout, both of York RD1, and Debbie Sue Krout, York RD2; his mother Mrs. Mable Waltemyer Krout, here, and two sisters, Mrs. Viola Snyder, York RD8, and Mrs. Pauline Shellenberger, York RD5.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Rev. Jered L. Hock, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, here, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Wilson C. Dickert, Mr. Krout's pastor. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery, here.
