He is buried in Plot - H - 10568Hiram enlisted as a Private in the Union Army at Greensburg, KY on Oct 8, 1861 at age 17. He was mustered into the 13th KY Infantry Co. H at Camp Hobson, KY on Dec 31, 1861. He was transferred from Co. H to Co. B of the same regiment in early 1862 where he served with his brother William. Hiram was shot by a sniper at Huff's Ferry in Loudon, TN on Nov 14, 1863. His brother Dominicus was mustered into the same company on the 11th, three days prior to his death.
