Elizabeth "Betty" Russell, age 77, of McDonough GA, died Sunday, March 20, 2011. Mrs. Russell was born in Ola, GA to the late Carl and Lillie Craig Shaw, Sr. She was a member of Timberridge Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Russell is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bobby Russell; children, Jeff Russell and Sue (Jimmy) Thurmond, Jack Thurmond, Katie Russell and Emma Russell; great-granddaughter Mackenlee Clemmons; siblings, Catherine Dilback and Carol (Coreda) Shaw Jr.; brother-in-law, Carling Petty, all of McDonough, special friends, Georgia Mae Ellis and family; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wed., March 23, 2011 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Rev. Matt Allison and Rev. James Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Timberridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday March 22, 2011 from 6-8 pm at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Timberridge Presbyterian Church youth Program, 2704 Hwy 20,E, McDonough GA 30252.
