Alba Mark Tucker was the son of Alvin (or Alvan) Tucker and Abigail Mary Tossey Tucker. He married Sarah Jane Henry on December 17, 1857 in Elkhart, Indiana. They had 5 children: Mary Isabel, Julia Catherine (Katie), William Harry (Willie), Jean Henry, and Hallet Kilbourn. He was Mayor of Elkhart, Elkhart County Auditor, President of the St. Joseph Valley Bank, Railroad superintendent, a Colonel in the Civil War etc. He died in a private sanitarium in Flint, Michigan.
