Alverta M. Cartwright

Alverta M. Cartwright of 712
Canal Street, Williamsburg, suffered
a stroke at noon Thursday,
Feb. 5, 1948, at her home and died
at 1:10 o'clock in the afternoon.
She was born at Mines Nov. 1,
1908, the daughter of Ira
and Minne (Horton) Hetrick.
She was married to William R.
Cartwright Feb. 3, 1928, at
Hollidaysburg. She was a member
of the Mines Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband and
one step-son, Roy E. Cartwright
of St. Clair, Pa., and these
brothers and sisters: Mrs. Joseph
Claybaugh and Mrs. Paul Claybaugh
of Williamsburg, R. D., Mrs.
Annie Wance of Williamsburg,
William Hetrick and Mrs. Grace
Lower of Mount Union; a
half-sister, Mrs. Earnest Miller
of Mines, and a half-brother, John
Butts of Pleasant Gap.
Funeral services will be held
Sunday morning at 10:30 o'clock
in the Mines Methodist Church, in
charge of the Rev. Donald Hurley.
Interment in the Mines cemetery.
