Margaret Beltz, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 25th. Born January 8, 1929 In St. Joseph, Missouri, "Margie" was an inspiration to all those who knew and loved her. Preceded in death in 2007 by her husband, John Beltz, Sr., Margaret had been a resident of Houston for many years and is survived by her son, John Beltz, Jr. and wife Kathy; daughter, Mary Deborah Beltz; grandsons, Phillip and Matt Beltz and wife Melissa; and two great-granddaughters - - Madison and Morgan Beltz. She will also be missed by her brother, Claude C. McDonald, Jr. and family; sister Bette Armstrong and family and Jack and Mary Linda Seippel and family.
Margaret was a former member of the First Christian Church of Katy, Texas. She had recently moved to Houston's north side to become a resident of The Terrace of Champions Assisted Living Home where she made many new friends. "Margie" is best known for her devoted work and volunteerism to the Oklahoma Mental Retardation Foundation where she changed the lives of children in need of special assistance. She is also remembered for her strong and abiding faith, love of family and commitment to friends.
Celebration services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 28th at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive in Spring, Texas. A visitation hour at Klein Funeral Home will take place from 1-2 p.m. immediately prior to funeral services. Interment and committal services will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079.
