He knew the end was coming, and had his lot in the cemetery selected a week before his death, he wanted to know as he expressed it, "Just where I am to be laid."
Dr. Forrest was born in Baron (Barren) County, Kentucky, on February 12th 1846, died September 22nd, 1901, in Madison Missouri, aged 55 years, 7 months and 10 days.
His father moved to Missouri when Isaac was twelve years old. He lived at the old home place in Audrain county until he was married to Miss Josie McNutt in 1869 when he moved to Middle Grove to practice medicine. He resided in Middle Grove until 1884 when he moved to Paris Missouri and from there to Madison where he practiced his profession until his health gave way. He leaves a wife and three children besides a number of relatives and friends.
(His brother was Samuel Maupin Forrest.)
Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church in Madison Missouri, Monday afternoon, by Elder E.M. Richmond after which he was laid to rest in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Madison Missouri.

(Isaac and Josie also had a daughter, Fannie May Forrest born on May 1, 1870 who married Silas Mason Love. They had seven children; 5 boys and 2 girls. Fannie May Love passed away on
January 7, 1949. Fannie was living in Hannibal at
