Larry "Porky" Anderson, age 59, of Rice Lake, WI died Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.
He was born on April 5, 1951 in Rice Lake, WI to Gerald and Elaine (Hansen) Anderson. Porky attended school in Rice Lake and was married to Rebecca Dorfman on May 9, 1986 in Duluth, MN. Porky owned and operated the Curtis Mathis TV Store in Duluth, MN for many years. He was also a Limo and Bus Driver in Las Vegas, NV. Porky was family oriented, well liked, had a great sense of humor, loved people and was a very sensitive and caring person.
Porky Anderson is survived by his wife, Rebecca Anderson of Duluth, MN; 2 sons, Brent Anderson of Rice Lake, WI and Chad Anderson of Superior, WI; 2 daughters, Trena Anderson of Superior, WI and Leah Anderson of Rice Lake, WI; 2 stepsons, Christopher Wiechert of St. Paul, MN and David Wiechert of Augusta, GA; 3 grandchildren; mother, Elaine Anderson of Rice Lake, WI; a brother, David (Sally Johnston) Anderson of Cameron, WI; 2 sisters, Ruth Ann Morley and Kristy (Gary) Fredrickson all of Rice Lake, WI and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Anderson; 2 brothers, Jerald "Buzz" Anderson and Steve Anderson; and a brother-in-law, Marlin Morley.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Red Cedar Community Church in Rice Lake, WI, Rev. Todd Arneson officiating, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 PM Tuesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals and for 1 hour prior to the service at the Church.
