TAYLOR Tommie Blanton Taylor passed away at her Gretna, LA residence on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 2:50 P.M. Age 71 years. A native of Houston, TX. Tommie considered New Orleans her home. She loved New Orleans and called it her heart and also believed that the people here were the beats of her heart. She loved to hold court for her friends and family. She showed her love to friends and family by cooking for them. Tommie will be sadly missed by all the lives she has touched. Wife of the late Reavis Taylor. Mother of Albert F. "Buddy" Gutierrez, James E. "Mickey" Daily, Jeanette L. Gutierrez and Jamie L. Barker. Daughter of the late Dorothy Guillory Vagg. Mother-in-law of Kristi Gutierrez. Grandmother of Monica, Kortni, Sabino, Alex, Dustin and Sean. Great grandmother of Austin, Jacob, Jr., Hunter, Sabino, II, Nevaeh, Brianna, Jasmine and Everett.
