Burnice Smith 70, of Mabelvale, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011. She was born in Sheridan, AR to the late James H. and Mabel Ethel Wilson Smith.

Burnice was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, the father of her children, Leroy Smith and Doyle Brown; and four sisters, Lura, Dovie, Kathy and Vickie.

She was of Pentecostal Faith. Burnice loved taking care of her grandchildren. Burnice was a loving and caring person; she will be missed by all that knew her. She would sit and crochets for hours. She also liked pretty bedspreads, pillow shams and was a collector of porcelain dolls.

She is survived by one son, Leroy Smith, Jr. of Mabelvale; three daughters, Brenda (David) Keister of Little Rock, Sharon (Silas) Taylor of Hensley and Tasha (Harley) of Little Rock; three brothers, James (Verlene) Smith of Mabelvale, Reverend Hank (Vickie) Smith of Haskell and Thomas Smith of Hensley; grandchildren, Daniel and David Ogden, Michael Taylor, Aaron Standridge, Brandy Taylor, Rachel Hicks, Juanita Ogden and Melissa Taylor; great-grandchildren, Destin and Christian Ogden, Alex, Katie and Emily Hicks, Tessa, Kamille and Tuff Essary Paige Warner and Brianna Vance.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in Little Rock. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the funeral home.
