Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated for William E. "Gene" Cox, 74, of Lufkin, were held Saturday, February 25, 1989 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church with burial in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mr. Cox was born May 16, 1914 in Howe, Oklahoma, and died Friday, Feb. 24, 1989. He had lived in Lufkin for 18 years and was retired from Dow Chemical Co. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree and of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He was the former owner and operator of H&H Grocery and was presently employed by Polk Oil Co.

wife, Margaret Ann Cox of Lufkin;
Daughters,
-Ann Hightower of Lufkin and
-Jean Raymond of Lake Jackson, Texas;
-Sister, LaVerne Mckinnon of Portala, Calif;
Nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
