- Harley B. Maggart, 79, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, died on Good Friday, April 2, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Zelda Maggart of the family home; sons, David Maggart and wife, Dodi of Pie Town, NM and Stephen Maggart and wife, Linda of Albuquerque; grandsons, James, Joshua, and Timothy Woodward, all of Albuquerque and Jon Maggart of Syracuse, NY; brother, Edward Maggart of Kirksville, MO; sisters, Velma Foster and Thelma Kraft, both of Browning, MO and Wilma Carter of Des Moines, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Woodward; brother, Byron Maggart; and parents, Grover and Bertha Maggart. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the China-Burma-India Theatre during WWII. Mr. Maggart was a graduate of Northeast Missouri State Teachers's College with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education and received his Master's Degree from UNM in Elementary Education. He was an avid rock and gem collector.

Harley built and loved his cabin in Northern NM. He was past commander and member of CBI. Harley was very dedicated to his family and his faith.
