His Legacy... Age 72 died January 16, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 16, 1938 in Inkster, MI the son of Commadore and Anna (Murski) Bensinger. On May 26, 1962 he married his loving wife of 48 years Virginia (Borsenik) Bensinger. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was employed as a Medical Photographer at the University of Michigan Health System for 37 years. Bob was a devoted husband and father. He loved fishing, hunting, carving ducks, building custom fishing rods and fly tying. Bob was a member of Big Brothers, Eagles, St. Mary's Men's Club, St. Mary's Knights of Columbus, Wooly Buggers Fly Fishing Club and Ducks Unlimited. He was also a Boy Scout Leader.
His Family... Loving husband of Virginia, beloved father of Gloria (John) Sdao, Robert L. (Tina) Bensinger Jr. and Elizabeth (Jeffrey Sweet) Bensinger, grandfather of Olivia, Julia, Chloe, Annaliese, Stephen, Isabelle, Joseph, Matthew, Charles and William. His sister Mary Joan (Albert) Barnard also survives him.
His Farewell... The family will gather with friends on Tuesday 5-8 PM and Wednesday from 2 to 8 PM with a Rosary prayed at 7PM. A Healing Farewell will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pinckney, January 20, 2011. 10 AM instate followed by an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. William Wegher as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. M
