Mr. McKenzie was born Feb. 23, 1944, in Kingstree, a son of the late Samuel Archie and Mary Edith Morris McKenzie.
He was a member of Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a resident of the Tom Mangum home in Lancaster.
Mr. McKenzie was preceded in death by a brother, Larry McKenzie. Surviving: 5 brothers, Samuel Archie (Rodhea) McKenzie of Bonneau, Delbert (Mary Ann) McKenzie of Marietta, GA, Lyn (Suzanne) McKenzie, Jerry (Paulette) McKenzie and Keith (Jenny) McKenzie, all of Kingstree; 3 sisters, Shirley Martin of Summerville, Judy (David) Coker of Kingstree and Susan (Steve) Reeves of Columbia.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Chesley Floyd officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
