Andrew S. "Andy" Brownell, Jr. HOLIDAYSBURG Andrew S. "Andy" Brownwell Jr., 79, of Holidaysburg, died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001 at Bon Secours Holy Hospital, Altoona. Born May 16, 1922, he was the son of the late Andrew S. and Rachel Cherry Brownwell. Surviving are three sisters, Ruth Parsons, wife of William of Lewistown, Helen Bard, wife of Fred of Mt. Union, and Arlene Henry, wife of Richard of Lewistown. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. He was retired from the U.S. Army with 22 years of service, including that during World War II. He was a life member of the Brooklyn Fire Co. and served the area for many years as a fireman He was also a member of the Lewistown Fire Police. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown. A viewing will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in St. Mark's Cemetery, Lewistown, with the Rev. John S. Walters officiating.
