L.C. was born December 5, 1923 to William Thomas and Lela Margaret St. John in Abbeyville, MS.
LC was preceded in death by his four brothers. He is survived by his wife, Jane of 60 years; son, Ricky and his wife Cindy of Lenexa, KS, daughter, Mary Jane Utley and her husband Gerald of Marion, AR; five grandchildren, Sherry Rowell and husband Jeff of Lakeland, TN, Kelly Stephens and husband Richard of Marion, AR, Staff Sergeant Brandon Stripling, USMC of San Diego, CA, Kim Lakin and husband Chris of Olathe, KS and John St. John of Shawnee, KS; five great-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Lauren, Brett Walker, Kennedy, and Avery; and sister Ruby Hinkle of Cave City, AR. L.C. also leaves many nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
L.C. was a member of Aubrey Missionary Baptist Church, a World War II veteran, and a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
LC farmed in Lee County for many years. He had a great love for his farmland and his family, as well as helping and serving the needs of others.
The family requests memorials be sent to Aubrey Missionary Baptist Church, Aubrey, AR.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, at Aubrey Missionary Baptist Church; burial following in Marianna Memorial Park.
Visitation will be at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
