Burial was in Old Bethel Cemetery at Clarks under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.
Mrs. Monk died early Thursday morning at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe after a brief illness.
A charter member of the Clarks Chapter of the Eastern Star, Mrs. Monk was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, James Lee Monk of Monroe, and C. A. Monk of Baton Rouge, one brother, Rudolph Addison of Groves, Texas, one sister, Mrs. Laurenia Nolan of Anacoco, and three grandchildren. Her husband was the late Jim Monk.
