Ms. Paquette was born October 8, 1926, in East Hereford, Québec, a daughter of Arthur and Eliane (Dumoulin)Paquette. She received her general equivalency diploma from Lamoille Union in Hyde Park. She was employed by C.H. Dana in Hyde Park, where she was in charge of ordering and packaging. She was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Newport where she was also a Eucharistic minister and member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a member of the Union St. John Baptiste, where she was secretary for 20 years in Hyde Park and treasurer in Newport for 20 years.
She was a very thoughtful person and helped her family wherever needed. She helped raise five of the older children of the Lemire family. She enjoyed gardening, and she was a collector of folklore music and songs.
She is survived by a sister, Madeleine Masseau, of Newport; by two brothers, Gilles Paquette and his wife, Muriel, of Morrisville and Alain Paquette and his wife, Millie, of Morrisville; by an uncle, Alfred Paquette, and his wife, Jeanne, of Coaticook, Quebec; by two aunts, Rose Paquette of Stewartstown, New Hampshire, and Adrienne LaBerge of Sherbrooke, Quebec; and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother and father; and by a sister, Yolande Lemire.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Newport with the Reverend Leopold Bilodeau celebrating a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place in St. Theresa’s Cemetery in Hyde Park.
