Stewart L. Sperry, 83, of 1524
23rd Ave., who retired on July
20, 1960, from Gable's major appliance
department as a salesman,
died at 1:40 a.m. today,
June 25, 1974, at Altoona Hospital,
after an extended illness.
He was. born Nov. 3, 1890, in
Archbald, a son of Henry C. and
Louisa (Berg) Sperry, and
married Millicent Jones on Aug.
24, 1915.
Surviving are his wife, two
children, James.H. of Columbus,
Ohio, and Mrs. Helen E. Thompson,
with whom he resided; six
grandchildren, and 12 great-
grandchildren.
Mr. Sperry was a member of
the First Brethren Church.
Friends will be received in the
E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. p.m. tomorrow.
