Frances Newmark Alex, 73, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, in Flagstaff.
She was born March 18, 1933, in Fitchburg, Mass., and lived in Chicago most of her life. A homemaker, Mrs. Alex was a free spirit who enjoyed bowling, movies and the theater.
Mrs. Alex is survived by her husband, Arthur "Buddy" Alex; her three children, Carol Ann Horowitz, Steven and Susan; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be today, at 10 a.m., at Flagstaff's Citizens Cemetery, 1300 S. San Francisco St.
Arrangements are by Norvel Owens Mortuary.
