PHELPS, LEO A. JR., 57, passed away at Norton Pavilion, Monday, March 28, 2011.
He was a supervisor for Riverside Paving, member of Fairdale Community Club and American Legion Post 157 in Shepherdsville, KY.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Dannie Robert Phelps; and stepdad, Bernie Brewer.
He is survived by his son, Leo A. Phelps II; stepdaughter, Kristy Lawless; mother, Shirley Newton; father, Leo A. Phelps Sr.; brothers, James R. Phelps, Kevin Brewer, Kerry Brewer and Kelly Brewer; a loving companion of 24 years, Jane Lawless; and a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
A celebration of Leo's life will be held on Friday at noon at the Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home with interment at Mt. Holly Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-8 p.m. and Thursday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
