Helen's family moved to Chicago sometime after 1910 from Butler, Ohio. She was brought up by her mother with her 2 sisters in Chicago.

She married Gordon Eyman McNamee Sr. in Chicago November 30, 1923. After marrying they moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and there my father was born. Her husband died at a young age and she then moved to Evanston, Illinois.
Her second marriage in about 1944 was to Elmer Eldridge.
They lived for a time in Westport, CT and then moved to NYC and later to Jupiter, Florida. She had a few small businesses and was a great cook and grandmother.
