She married Frank M. Sheldon, son of David F. and Adaline (Crandall) Sheldon (Bosworth Cemetery, Eaton County, MI) on February 3, 1879. They gave birth to one daughter, Nina M. in 1880 who married Gordon G. Raymond (also in Bosworth Cemetery). Photographs of Nina and Gordon can be found in Nina's Find A Grave memorial.
According to Michigan Gendis Service, Libby succumbed to "pulmonary consumption." In addition, her gravestone says she was 23 yr., 3 mos., which would have made her birthday June 16, 1861; however, Gendis states she was 22 yr., 3 mos., 1 day; according to that reading, Libby would have been born on June 15, 1862.
After Libby's death, Frank Sheldon married Addie Johnson, daughter of Stephen B. Johnson and Emelia Crandall and they lived the remainder of their lives in Eaton County, Michigan.
Our family otherwise knows very little about Sarah Elizabeth Letts, and we are eager to learn more. Roberta "Bobbie" Mains Whitbeck (1916 - 2004) knew her "Grandpa Frank" and she passed down her experiences of our ancestors as she knew them. She noted that Frank's first wife was only known as "Libby" and that she was a family mystery. Researching cemetery transriptions of Clinton County in about 1999, our family discovered Libby's interrment and relationship to Frank Sheldon.
