E.T. "Tom" Berndt, a retired accountant and office manager for Texas Electric Service Co., now TU Electric, died Thursday at home.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Berndt was born in Lewisville and was a longtime Ft. Worth resident.
He was an Army Air Force veteran of WW II and upon his discharge returned to TESCO where he completed 43 years before retirement.
He attended the University of North Texas, and was a member of University United Methodist Church, Colonial Country Club, TCU Frog Club and the Clark Society of TCU.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, University Methodist Church or charity of choice.
Survivors include wife, Inez Bounds Berndt of Fort Worth, daughter, Pat Thomas of Dickinson, brother Paul A. Berndt of Lewisville, two sisters, Brenda simmons of Fresno, California and Irma Dean of Dallas; Three grandchildren,and one great-grandson.
