Kent grew up in the area of Beresford, SD and was a junior at Beresford High School. His interests included cars, football, and his dogs. His hobbies included hunting and weight lifting; and, Kent was a blackbelt in Taekwondo.
Kent was preceeded in death by his grandfathers, Gene Nelson and John Erickson. He was survived by his parents; two brothers; both grandmothers; a step-grandfather; and numerous relatives, classmates, and friends.
