Revolutionary War veteran Enoch Condit, son of David Condit and the former Joanna Williams, was the husband of Mary Tomkins. He fought for American independence as a young man in his teens and early twenties. Like his brother Japhia, a similarly youthful comrade-in-arms, he is listed on the Condit monument in the churchyard which honors members of the family who served in the American military during the years 1776-1783. Mr. Condit died at age 35, 14 years after the war's end. MONUMENT PHOTO by Nikita Barlow, originally uploaded anonymously in 2005
