Edith Mae Comer, 75, of LaFollette, passed away Sept. 12 at Parkwest Hospital with her family at her side after a brief battle with cancer. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed crossword puzzles, collectibles and listing to music. Edith was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Ethel Harding; brother Donald Dean; daughter, Brenda Marple.Edith is survived by son, Gary Comer of LaFollette; daughters, Debra Bolton of LaFollette, Valerie Fateley and Patricia Proffitt, both of Clinton; sister, Juanita Stratton of Jellico; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sept. 14 in the Cross-Smith Chapel with the Rev. Leroy Braden officiating. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Cross-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
