Restaurateur Dies
John W. Double, pioneer Here, was
Propriator of old IXL
John Westey Double,80, pioneer
Restaurateur of this city, died yesterday
Afternoon at the Methodist hospital
Following a stroke he suffered Tuesday.
Mr Double was born in Allen county and had
Resided in Fort Wayne since childhood, He
Was the proprietor of the IXL restaurant
On Main street,but retired about 15 years ago
His wife Elizabeth died three years ago.
Surviving are a son Howard A Double of 909
West Main street with whom he lived, two
Daughters Mrs Bertha Kleakamp and Mrs
Jennie Taylor of McAllen Tex, two brothers
David and Conrad of Muncie,and five Grandchildren
The body was taken to Getz and Cahill's
Parlors to await funeral arrangements
